7 Simple Steps


1. Prepare Your Documentation and Apply Online

International students must be living in Australia with a parent, a family member or an approved guardian.
Make sure you review the enrolment criteria to apply.

Documents to be uploaded in PDF, JPEG, PNG format)

  • Your child’s birth certificate (with English translation)
  • A completed reference form from your pastor or a business person (with English translation)
  • Your child’s current passport.
  • Evidence of your child’s English proficiency equivalent to IELTS Level 5.5 (16 years and over. For students under 16 years, please provide a comprehensive report from the Australian Education Assessment Services). Please give the assessment agency our email address and have them forward your assessment results directly to the School, using the following email: This email address is being protected from spambots.   • Your child’s three most recent academic reports (with English translation) - (Years 1 to 12 students)
  • Full details of your child’s guardian and homestay arrangements in Australia (if applicable). 
  • On submission of your online application form, pay the AUD$1000.00 non-refundable application fee.

*Please note, to successfully enrol your child, they must meet the English language requirements and international student enrolment criteria to enable them to effectively participate in classes. Pacific Hills does not provide English Language Intensive Courses.

2. Your Family Interview
After processing your application, depending on availability, we will contact you to schedule an interview with our Principal either online or in person.
3. Your Offer
If your application is successful, you will be made an offer which is valid for two weeks.
4. Acceptance of Offer

Your child’s place in our school is secured once you have:

  • Signed and returned your Acceptance of Offer and Overseas Student Enrolment Agreement
  • Paid the non-refundable enrolment fee of AUD$2,000.00
  • Provided evidence that you have paid the enrolment fee of AUD$2,000.00
  • Paid 6 months fees in advance
  • Paid all other costs as detailed in the Enrolment Agreement (contract).
5: Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

Our School will prepare your confirmation of enrolment documents once we are provided with evicence you have pre-paid your child’s tuition fees and the required Overseas Student Health Cover.

6: Confirmation of Your Child’s Enrolment

Our school will send you a Confirmation of Enrolment Certificate upon receipt of your Acceptance of Offer, all required documentation and all payments as outlined in the Enrolment Agreement (Contract). Where applicable, welfare approval will be processed. Please note, these documents are also required when applying for a student visa to study in Australia.

7: Commencing at Pacific Hills

We will confirm your child’s orientation and commencement dates. Upon your arrival at Pacific Hills, you will be connected with our Overseas Student Liaison Officer who will provide ongoing support and monitor your child’s general welfare.

Important Information for
International Students

To assist families who are enrolling international students, please read the following information to ensure all enrolment requirements are met prior to arriving in Australia.

International Student Eligibility
  • Visas – only students who have a 500-student visa can be enrolled.
  • Age – Pacific Hills Christian school is registered to provide the following three educational courses to international students:

International students can only be enrolled in age-appropriate courses which are:

  • Age 12/13 into Year 7
  • Age 15/16 into Year 9
  • Age 16/17 into Year 11
Conditions for Ongoing Enrolment of International Students

For international students to continue their ongoing enrolment at Pacific Hills, the School requires:

  • Satisfactory course attendance
  • Satisfactory course progress
  • Observance of and compliance with the Pacific Hills Christian School policies, particularly in relation to behaviour, discipline and codes of conduct
  • Continued payment of tuition fees as per your Acceptance of Offer signed agreement.
Deferment, Suspension, Cancellation - International Students

Once a family has entered into an agreement with Pacific Hills Christian School for the enrolment of their child and the enrolment of the international student has been confirmed, the agreement is binding. All international students will be expected to undertake their studies according to and mandated by the course of studies and the visa requirements.

  • Deferring/Suspending – granted only for compassionate and in compelling circumstances
  • Cancellation will occur under the following conditions:
    • Failure to pay course fees
    • Failure to maintain approved welfare and accommodation arrangements (visa condition 8532)
    • Any behaviour identified that violates the Pacific Hills Christian School's behaviour policy/code of conduct.
Accommodation and Welfare Arrangements

International students under the age of 18 are required to be cared for in Australia by a parent or a suitable nominated relative. In cases where a student is not living with a parent or close relative, the following accommodation options are acceptable to Pacific Hills Christian School:

  • Student to live with one parent or a guardian or close relative appointed by the parents
  • Student to live with a homestay parent approved by the School, who may or may not be the guardian.
A guardian is a relative who is:
  • Nominated in writing by the parents
  • A resident of NSW
  • 21 years of age or over
  • Able to remain in Australia until the student has completed their course of study
  • Able to provide proof of relationship to the student
  • Able to obtain an Australian Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance.
A homestay parent:
  • Is an individual who provides accommodation and welfare in exchange for monetary remuneration
  • Must be approved by the registered provider
  • Must be of good character and undergo a 'Working with Children Check'
  • Must agree to visits from the Director of Enrolments and Overseas Student Enrolment Officer
  • It is the responsibility of the family to find a suitable homestay provider based on approval by the registered provider.

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

International students are required to have private health insurance. This must be maintained for the duration of their enrolment and stay. Health insurance is in addition to tuition fees. Pacific Hills Christian School uses Medibank Private as its preferred provider for overseas health cover, but families can arrange the health cover through any provider.

Australian Education Assessment Service

The AEAS Test is designed specifically for school age students. Test are tailored to assess the learning age of students from primary years through to senior secondary years.
